Have you ever wondered what happened to girl trio Avery and The Calico Hearts? These girls first took the stage, singing a Justin Bieber song in 2011, but where are they now?
Avery and The Calico Hearts’ Journey on AGT
Avery Winter, Kassidy King, and Brooklyn Elbert first took the America’s Got Talent stage in 2011, as girl group, Avery and The Calico Hearts. The girls, who had met five years prior, sang “Baby” by Justin Bieber.
Judges voted the girl group through to the next round with two “yeses” and one “no.” In the Vegas round, they were sorted into the “kid act” category. They then sang “It’s Your Thing” by Isley Brothers.
They then got voted through to the Semifinals. In this round, they performed “I Wish” by Stevie Wonder. Unfortunately, their time on the series ended there… until Sharon Osbourne brought them back as a Wildcard.
During The Wildcard Show, the girl group sang “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz. Piers Morgan once again shared his dislike of the group. Avery and The Calico Hearts did not continue in the show after that.
Where Are They Now?
With many youngsters on America’s Got Talent, fans become obsessed with auditions and wonder where are they now? Are they still performing together? Well, it seems like Avery and The Calico Hearts broke up about a year after the show, when Avery’s family moved to Dallas, Texas.
Although Avery moved away, Brooklyn and Kassidy continued singing together. In 2019, the group even reunited!
In 2025, Avery and Kassidy are still living a public life, while Brooklyn prefers to remain private. Kassidy is now 24 years old and a Texas Tech alumni. She shares posts of her hanging out with friends, traveling with her partner, and more.
Avery, who is now 23 years old, is a graduate of the University of North Texas. She’s currently working as a Wedding coordinator and content creator. She often shares content of her significant other and their dog.
It seems like there’s no bad blood between Avery and The Calico Hearts, since the girls can still be seen in each others’ comment sections. It’s completely normal to not be as close with people you were best friends with at nine and ten.
