Dancing with the Stars and The Masked Singer alum Wendy Williams gave an update on her health during a recent interview with TMZ. The former talk show host recently ended her show after she was replaced by a series of guest hosts while dealing with her health issues.

While talking to TMZ, Williams spoke about her experience with lymphedema, in which fluid builds up in soft body tissues. She lifted her foot for the camera, showing how swollen it is. Williams explained that she “can only feel maybe five percent of my feet.”
“Normally, I would be in a wheelchair. I’m not in a wheelchair. I stand up,” she said, telling the hosts that she feels “better than you.”
Williams stepped away from hosting her eponymous talk show last year due to complications from Graves’ disease. She was replaced by a number of guest hosts, most notably former The View co-host Sherri Shepherd.
Shepherd will take over Williams’ time slot with her own talk show called Sherri. Recently, it was reported that the show would be premiering later this year, on September 12.

Williams Plans to Start Podcasting
Williams said she is “100 percent retired” from her show, and doesn’t want to appear on television “except for guest hosting.” However, she’s interested in pursuing podcasts as a new career path, saying she can make “more money” that way as someone in the spotlight.
In addition to her talk show, Williams has also competed on talent shows in the past. She was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars Season 12 in 2011, dancing with Tony Dovolani and finishing in tenth place.
Then in 2020, Williams appeared as Lips on the fourth season of The Masked Singer. She was eliminated after her first performance, with two of the judges correctly guessing her identity.
