We’re in for another round of Judge Cuts next week on America’s Got Talent, and the show has released an sneak peek to get us hyped! As you will notice in the AGT sneak peek video, actress Ellie Kemper is joining the judging panel as AGT guest judge this week.
84-Year-Old Man Hand Balancing Act
Hand balancers Edson and Leon are back and ready to step up their game. And Leon is ready to prove once again that age is just a number and even though he’s 84 years old, he’s got some serious strength! Also, these guys are seriously adorable. It’s like they are your dad and grandpa if your antecedents were super friggin’ strong and could lift each other. My dad and grandfather couldn’t do this. They could barely lift their pants on in the morning.
Last time Julianne remarked that Leon resembled Carl from Pixar’s Up. The duo have taken inspiration from that and based their entire routine around that very concept, complete with Edson as Russell! That movie is very good, don’t get me wrong but it is seriously depressing. I swore that no matter what Pixar would never make me cry in public again. I mean, it’s totally happened again but I seriously resent it.
Edson & Leon Audition
When Edson and Leon first hit the AGT stage the judges didn’t know what to make of them at first. Here are these two older gentlemen is suits coming out looking all cute and old. Then the two of them start lifting each other up in the air like any of the younger acrobatic acts. I don’t know how these dudes are able to do this. Like, at any age much less at 84. MY relatives that are 84 can barely move. The judges, understandably lost their minds for them.
Honestly, they are my favorite of the strength lifting acts this season…and there were a lot of them. Maybe more than ever. I wonder what’s happening in the variety show culture that has people training for years to lift up a friend or family member in ridiculous ways?
Actress Ellie Kemper Joins As ‘AGT’ Guest Judge
As you’ve noticed in the sneak peek video, actress Ellie Kemper joins the judging panel this week on Judge Cuts. “What do Brad PAisley, Dwyane Wade, Jay Leno and I have in common” asks Ellie on her Instagram post. She continues “The answers may surprise you, but the most exciting one is that we are all Guest Judges on America’s Got Talent this summer”.
We don’t get hear Ellie Kemper’s commentary in this particular video, but we can see that she’s visibly shocked by this age-defying act and nervous even before the act began. We are looking forward to see her judging ability and style on the show.
