For the weekly show, Mattel and a guest will review and recap each episode of season 16. The Pit Stop will stream on the RuPaul’s Drag Race YouTube channel every Saturday.

“Making snap judgments is my passion but I also love enduring characters that develop and grow (while dressed as women),” Mattel told Variety.

In the trailer of the upcoming season, a new plot twist is introduced. “Rate-A-Queen” will see contestants rank their fellow queen to from best to worst in the first Maxi challenge talent show. This will determine the tops and bottoms of the week.

The queens will be vying for the season 16 title of America’s Drag Superstar and a $200,000 cash prize.  In a previous interview with EW, Mirage stated that there will be a lot of twists this season.

“Get ready for a lot of shade. I don’t want to say backstabbery, I’m trying to think of a cuter word, that’s bad. Okay, well, there’s a lot of that. There’s a lot of going for the throat,” Mirage stated.
