The Masked Singer Season 6 runner-up Todrick Hall recently stopped by The Nick Cannon Show to talk about his love of performing, as well as their new movie together. Hall also revealed that he got to keep his Bull costume after filming.

Todrick Hall Took Home His ‘Masked Singer’ Costume

Hall talked to Cannon via video chat while he was sitting in his closet at home. As Hall himself joked, “I spent my whole life trying to get out of the closet, and now I do all my interviews in here.” One notable background item was his Bull mask from the show.

“I’m the first person ever on the show that was able to convince the producers to give me the costume,” Hall shared, adding that he “fell in love” with the costume. When asked how he managed to persuade the producers, Hall answered, “Persistence. That’s the key.”

Hall talked to Cannon about his love of performing, saying, “There’s not a lot of people that are out here repping for the LGBTQ+ community in the way that I do. And so I just love being there for my community, for young Black kids who are artistic, who love theater and Disney and Beyoncé as much as I do.”

Hall, Cannon Star in New Holiday Movie Together

Todrick Hall and Nick Cannon recently starred together in a new holiday movie on VH1 called Miracles Across 125th Street. Cannon wrote and directed the film, which also stars Teyana Taylor, Akon, Lil’ Kim, and Bobb’e J. Thompson. The movie is about a rapper who returns to his family’s church after battling addiction.

Cannon showed a funny clip from the movie featuring Hall and Lil’ Kim. Hall also teased that fans can expect “an album or two next year,” as he’s been working hard in the studio. He explained that being on The Masked Singer inspired him, as he had “lost faith in my voice.”

“I have such a raspy voice, and the grass is always greener on the other side,” Hall said. “People with straight hair want curly. I’ve always wanted this crystal clear voice. But The Masked Singer really helped my embrace my specific voice.”

Hall is also currently in rehearsal for his upcoming tour, which starts in March of next year. You can buy tickets on his website.
