‘The Voice Kids’ Contestant Cries As Coach Performs Surprise Blind Audition

Fernando Daniel is one of the biggest successes to come out of The Voice Portugal. He auditioned for the fourth season of the show with Adele’s “When We Were Young” and was later crowned the winner. Everything came full circle for Fernando who is now a coach on The Voice Kids Portugal. He pulled off a very special Blind Audition for one of his biggest fans, singing the same song as his original audition.
Coach Fernando Daniel Performs Blind Audition On ‘The Voice Kids’
Contestant Nuna Rosa auditioned for The Voice Kids with one of Fernando’s songs “Tal Como Sou.” Fernando was honored that Nuna chose to sing one of his songs. While Nuna’s Blind Audition put a smile on all of the coach’s faces, none of them turned their chairs. Nuna spoke about being a huge fan of Fernando after the performance.
Coach Marisa Liz decided that Nuna should sit in Fernando’s chair and pretend that it is a real Blind Audition. She requested that Fernando sing “When We Were Young” the song that made him famous on The Voice Portugal with over 103 million views on YouTube 2016.
Nuna sat with her back turned to Fernando along with coaches Marisa, Carolina Deslandes and Carlão. Fernando belted out the emotional tune and it sounded just as amazing as the first time. Nuna turned the chair almost immediately and sat in awe watching her idol Fernando perform. The other three coaches followed suit and hit their buttons to turn their chairs too.

Nuna began crying while Fernando sang the emotional tune. All of the other coaches gathered around her to offer their support. They too were emotional and shed tears as Fernando took this Adele song and made it his own. It was only right that Fernando jokingly chose to be on Team Nuna after each of the coaches pleaded their case.
Fernando Has Become A Major Star Since Winning The Show
While Nuna did not secure a spot on The Voice Kids Portugal, getting a special performance from Fernando was just as amazing. “I will be forever grateful to this show because it changed my life,” Fernando said after performing up on the stage again. Winning the show has given him such an incredible platform to share his singing talents with the world.
Fernando released his firsts single called “Espera” in 2017. It was a major success and was featured in the soundtrack for the Portuguese show A Herdeira. It was one of the songs included in Fernando’s first album called Salto which was released in 2018. He later released a second album called Presente. This led him to win an MTV Europe Music Award in 2019 for Best Portuguese Act. He won the award again in 2020.

This year he was announced as one of the coaches on The Voice Kids Portugal. Fernando hopes to take his team all the way to the top.
