Sam Wilkinson Impresses The ‘Voice Kids’ Coaches
Sam auditioned for The Voice Kids with a performance of “Like a Rolling Stone” by Bob Dylan. He kicked the performance off by playing the harmonica, impressing the coaches. Pixie Lott and Danny Jones both turned their chairs for Sam’s audition.
Sam sadly lost his mother to leukemia 15 months before he appeared on the show. He performed a song at her funeral, and his dad told him, “If you can do that, you can do anything. It won’t be any harder than that day.”

Sam sang an original song called “Everything’s Alright.” It made host Emma Willis tear up as she listened from backstage with Sam’s family. Will.i.am was amazed by how “articulate” Sam was, calling him an “experienced soul.”

Sam continued in the competition on Team Danny, performing songs like “Under Pressure” by Queen & David Bowie, and “Father and Son” by Cat Stevens. Then in the final, he once again performed his original song “Everything’s Alright.”
Sam said it was about his late mother. Danny said he wanted it to be “the best song The Voice Kids has ever seen.” Sam performed while playing the guitar, and the coaches gave him a standing ovation.
