Reading Time: 2 minutes
The newest season of The Voice began with an absolute bang. The coaches performed a beautifully harmonized song as their first performance on this season’s stage. All four of the coaches gave a star-powered first performance. The entire crowd was seen standing, clapping, and dancing around.
This performance began with John Legend and Blake Shelton harmonized, until Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson came and rocked the stage. Their vocals were absolutely insane in this performance.
All four of the coaches harmonized beautifully in this exciting beginning to the 21st season of The Voice. This coaches performance took my breath away. You definitely don’t want to miss this one.
The Hype Behind This Performance
Before the show premiered, Grande shared a video of herself and the other coaches singing the iconic hit “Respect” by Aretha Franklin. Within the video Grande is seen singing in her normal register with Clarkson’s vocals on top. Immediately after seeing this promo for the first time, any fan of The Voice knew that this performance would be killer.
In this promotional video, Grande talks about how she’s shaking after the performance from adrenaline. That’s the exact feeling that fans got when they watched this amazing performance. We knew Grande and Clarkson were going to crush the vocals together, but they seriously went so hard on their first performance.
We knew this grand opening was coming, yet we still weren’t prepared for it when it came on the screen. As soon as Grande came on to the stage sporting a full body pink suit and a rhinestone cowboy hat, we knew she was going to serve looks.
“I think this is the performance of the year, but I still didn’t see what’s coming next THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING !!!!” said one fan on Instagram.
This fan was totally right too. It was the first thing that happened on the show and I’m still in awe. I cannot wait to see what else the coaches have planned for this season.
