‘The Voice’ Coaches Fight Over Talented Singer in Early Release Audition
The Voice has shared an early release audition from Tuesday night’s new episode of Season 23, featuring singer NariYella’s powerhouse performance. The 20-year-old turned all four coaches’ chairs and had the entire panel fighting over her.
NariYella Turns Four Chairs in The Voice Early Release
For her Blind Audition, NariYella performed “One Night Only” from Dreamgirls. The show kept her face hidden until the first coach turned around. In this case, Chance the Rapper and Kelly Clarkson hit their buttons at almost exactly the same time.
As NariYella continued her powerful performance, Blake Shelton and Niall Horan also turned around, making her a four-chair turn. When all the coaches had turned around, NariYella waved to them while she continued to sing.
After the performance ended, host Carson Daly said of the coaches, “Oh, they’re gonna fight.” He ended up being right, as all four coaches made their case for why NariYella should join their team. Things even got a little heated between Clarkson and Chance.

Coaches Fight to Get NariYella on Their Teams
Horan told NariYella that he was “missing someone like you on my team.” He reminded her that he’s competed on a talent show in the past, although he admitted that he came in third place. Clarkson joked. “You did all right. It worked out.”
Shelton said NariYella’s voice was “shocking,” adding that he “would be honored to have you on my last team that I’m ever gonna put together on The Voice.” Clarkson chimed in to call NariYella’s personality “captivating.”
Chance the Rapper told NariYella that her vocal skills are “way, way, way beyond your years.” He then accused the other coaches of not knowing the song she performed. Shelton and Clarkson were offended that he would think that, with Clarkson pointing out that she’s actually covered “One Night Only.”
We’ll find out which team NariYella chose to join when The Voice Season 23 returns on Tuesday night at 9/8c on NBC.
