Mitchel Emms Had Coach Falling Out Of His Chair On ‘The Voice UK’
Whenever a rock singer has appeared on The Voice UK with Danny on the coaching panel, everyone anxiously waits to see what will happen. During Mitchel’s audition, Danny sat with a smile on his face as he listened to him belt his heart out. The three other coaches exchanged glances with Danny, frontman of Irish rock band The Script.
It was when Danny began drumming the air that he realized he had to secure Mitchel on his team. He stood up in his chair and hit his button with his foot. As Danny turned around in the chair, he played the air guitar as Mitchel continued to sing. Danny was the only coach to turn his chair which officially made Mitchel a member of Team Danny. The pair embraced in a hug before Mitchel headed backstage.
After Mitchel’s Blind Audition, the coach’s chairs were reset to face the audience again. During this process, Danny was still standing up in awe of Mitchel’s performance. The chair jerked his body forward and he let out a yell. Luckily, he managed to hoist his body upwards and prevent a full-blown catastrophe on The Voice UK.
In The Battles, Mitchel sang “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” against Ricardo Afonso. He was declared the winner and moved on to The Knockouts. Here he performed a rock n’ roll take on the country hit “Need You Now.”
Mitchel was sent to the Live Shows where he sang “Radioactive.” He was eliminated from the competition after this performance.

Where Is He Now?
After competing on The Voice UK, Mitchel has continued his rockstar career. He was the lead singer of the rock group The Treatment up until 2017. This came after the group released an album called Generation Me and embarked on a tour.
“A few months ago, I came to the conclusion that after all these years in music, I had to start taking my own personal identity and happiness seriously,” he wrote on Instagram. “All the personal sacrifices I’ve made to try and achieve success in music had finally caught up with me and it was time I took some time off from performing original music in touring bands and find myself again.”
In 2019, Mitchel made his return to music. He released his first self-produced solo album Vertigo At History’s Edge.
After taking a bit of a break during 2020, Mitchel announced that he is working on original music again after getting a burst of cretaivity.
