Bell, who is best known for his roles in The Amanda Show and Drake & Josh, had been in Winter Park, Florida, visiting his ex-wife Janet Von Schmeling. Apparently, he was there to discuss the custody of their son Jeremy. According to a police report, Bell’s brother Robert called the Orlando Police Department to report that the actor was claiming he didn’t want to be alive following child custody concerns.
On Thursday morning, the Daytona Beach Police Department announced that they were looking for Bell. He was traveling in a BMW with a last known location potentially around Mainland High School the day before.
Hours later, Officer Carrie McCallister confirmed that Bell was “safe.” This recent incident has prompted renewed concerns about Bell’s well-being, given his previous legal issues and controversies. In 2020, he was accused by ex-girlfriend Melissa Lingafelt of verbal and physical abuse, which he has denied. He was also charged with a misdemeanor in 2016 and served one day in jail for suspicion of DUI.
In June 2021, Bell was arrested for attempted child endangerment and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. His victim, who was 15 at the time, accused him of sexual misconduct, but his attorney disputed the allegations. Despite these challenges, Bell has maintained a loyal fan base, and many are hoping that he will receive the help and support he needs to navigate these difficult times.

After being reported missing and endangered by police in Daytona Beach, Florida, Bell was found safe and sound. However, the situation was not as lighthearted as Bell made it out to be on Twitter. The incident reportedly stemmed from Bell leaving his phone in his vehicle and not responding for the night.
In response, Bell tweeted, “You leave your phone in the car and don’t answer for the night and this?” with a laughing-crying emoji. However, a 911 call seems to indicate a more serious situation.
The call allegedly characterizes Bell’s situation as a “possible attempted suicide” concerning a “celebrity who had a falling out with his wife.” Although this wasn’t reported by Bell, it was reported by someone close to him.
