‘The Masked Singer’ Season 14 to Premiere in Spring 2026, Skipping Fall Installment

Reading Time: 2 minutes
Since its inception in 2019, The Masked Singer has aired two seasons per year — one in the spring, and one in the fall. However, that schedule is about to change for Season 14, as the show will now skip over the fall installment and instead premiere in early 2026.
The Masked Singer Season 14 to Premiere in Spring 2026
Earlier this month, it was announced that The Masked Singer has been renewed for Season 14 on FOX. However, instead of premiering this fall like fans are used to, the show won’t be back until January 2026. According to Deadline, FOX Entertainment CEO Rob Wade recently explained the decision to reporters.
Wade recalled the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, when “producers had to completely upend everything and work to finish” editing Season 3. Later that same year, they were “producing that show in social distancing conditions” for a fall season. He said it was “incredibly taxing on that crew and that cast.”
“The most recent season 13, we were very proud of and its rating sustained,” Wade continued. “It just felt like the right time to give the show and the very, very hardworking people involved in it a little bit of breathing space just to regroup creatively, get their breath back and do a season this year in January, which is traditionally our strongest time of year.”
Wade added that they will “see where it goes” after Season 14, emphasizing that “it’s not intended at the moment just to become a one season a year.” Meanwhile, a FOX spokeswoman told Deadline that the change will “allow us to creatively look at enhancing the show with the biggest names at the center of it.”

Season 13 Just Wrapped Up
Season 13 of The Masked Singer recently came to a close, as Pearl was named the winner and unmasked as country singer Gretchen Wilson, known for her Grammy-winning song “Redneck Woman.” In second place was Boogie Woogie, who turned out to be singer-songwriter Andy Grammer.
This season marked the third time in a row that Rita Ora has sat on the show’s panel instead of longtime panelist Nicole Scherzinger. Fellow panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, and Ken Jeong have been on the show since the first season.
