Cyclops, Thingamabob Unmasked on ‘The Masked Singer’

Thingamabob was first up to sing on Wednesday night, sharing that he hoped to be the first Cuddly singer to make it to the finale. He performed “Classic” by MKTO, showing off a great voice and stage presence.

Unfortunately, he didn’t earn enough votes to make it to the finale. Guesses from the judges included Michael Strahan and Liam Hemsworth, but he was unmasked as Philadelphia Eagles player Jordan Mailata. The athlete shared that he’s actually been singing all his life, adding that he disguised his Australian accent while under the mask.

Next up was Cyclops, who performed “Flashdance (What a Feeling).” In a cute moment after the performance, he told the judges, “Cyclops is my father. Call me Cy.” Like Thingamabob, he didn’t earn enough votes to move on to the finale.

Guesses included David Bautista from Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as Michael Keaton and Kevin Smith. He turned out to be actor Jorge Garcia, who starred on Lost and Hawaii Five-0. He shared how much he loves the show. In turn, Ken Jeong shared how much he loved Garcia on Lost.

Firefly Moves on to the Season 7 Finale

Firefly was the only contestant to make it through Wednesday’s episode. In their solo performance, they sang “Attention” by Charlie Puth, impressing the judges. Nicole Scherzinger predicted that Firefly is “going all the way.”

The remaining three contestants also delivered a FInal Showdown performance together, taking turns singing “I Got You (I Feel Good)” by James Brown. It was a fun performance that had Jeong standing on the table. Ultimately, Firefly emerged victorious, and will go to the finale, which means we’ll have to wait a while to find out who’s under the mask.

This was the first week that Firefly hasn’t had a dramatic moment on stage. In the season premiere, they had a coughing fit and had to pause their performance. Then the next week, they walked off stage after learning they were in the bottom two. How will they react if they don’t win the season?

We’re still waiting for Rudy Giuliani to be unmasked on The Masked Singer this season. Maybe we’ll finally see the much-hyped moment in next week’s episode. Let us know in the comments if you agree with this week’s results.
