Actor-comedian Ken Jeong has become a familiar face in the entertainment industry in recent years. Community (2009-2015)
Jeong gave viewers one of his warmest roles yet as the unstable and often unhinged Ben Chang on this quirky sitcom set at the fictional Greendale Community College. As the teacher, turned student, turned campus security guard, Jeong channeled his weirdness across the show’s six seasons. He had undeniable commitment to the crazy goal of the week.
The Hangover (2009)
The massively successful R-rated buddy comedy that launched Jeong into stardom featured him stealing scenes as the flamboyant, dangerous, and stark-raving mad Chinese gangster Leslie Chow. With lines like “Did you just say the C-word??” and that infamous jump out of the car trunk, Jeong’s character was certainly an instant classic in the inaugural film and sequels.
Dr. Ken (2015-2017)
Jeong created, wrote, produced, and starred in this ABC sitcom as stressed-out doctor Ken Park. This story followings Park juggling his medical practice, marriage, and two kids. Drawing on Jeong’s real-life experience as a physician, Dr. Ken comically and heartwarmingly captured the Asian-American family experience over two seasons.
Crazy Rich Asians (2018)
In this history-making romantic comedy Jeong landed laughs as the wacky father of the lead character’s college friend. While a smaller role, Jeong’s comedic talent on display served as a highlight of the film for many fans. For those who may not know, Crazy Rich Asians made history as the first major Hollywood film to feature an all-Asian cast in over 20 year.
The Masked Singer (2019-Present)
Now in its tenth season, The Masked Singer has grown into a fan favorite. Jeong brings his energy to the guessing game along with other panelists Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke. Known for his outrageous guesses and playful banter with longtime collaborator host Nick Cannon, Jeong certainly keeps this singing competition lively.
