‘The Masked Singer’ Finale Recap: Cow AKA Ne-Yo Named Season 10 Winner
Reading Time: 3 minutes
The Masked Singer returned on Wednesday night for the Season 10 finale, as Cow was named the winner of the Golden Mask trophy and unmasked as singer Ne-Yo. The other three finalists — Sea Queen, Gazelle, and Donut — were also unmasked during the episode.
Cow AKA Ne-Yo Wins The Masked Singer Season 10
During Wednesday’s finale, Cow performed two songs for his last chance at the trophy. First, he delivered an electrifying performance of “Rhythm Nation” by Janet Jackson, complete with some impressive dance moves. Later, he sang “Take a Bow” by Rihanna.
At the end of the night, Cow was named the winner of Season 10. Before he was unmasked, the panelists shared their final guesses about his identity. Ken Jeong guessed Usher, and Jenny McCarthy guessed Billy Porter. But only Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger were correct in guessing that it was Ne-Yo, who actually co-wrote “Take a Bow.”
Ne-Yo said he chose the Cow costume because he thought the panel would be able to recognize his singing voice, so he figured it would give him a chance to disguise his speaking voice and persona.
The season’s runner-up was Donut, who delivered an emotional performance of “You Are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker for his late wife, who wanted him to do the show. Later, he sang “Drift Away” by Dobie Gray. Guesses from the panel included Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck.
However, only McCarthy correctly guessed that Donut was Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider. Schneider got emotional as he opened up about the loss of his wife Alicia, who passed away in February of this year.

Sea Queen, Gazelle Were Also Unmasked
During Wednesday’s finale, Sea Queen was the first contestant to be eliminated and unmasked. She revealed that she’s the first wildcard contestant to make it to the finale in the show’s history. Sea Queen performed “Rescue Me” by Fontella Bass and finished the song by dramatically falling over on stage.
The judges were unanimous in their guess about Sea Queen’s identity, and they were all right on the money. She turned out to be singer Macy Gray, who said farewell with a performance of her iconic song “I Try.”
Gazelle was the second contestant to be unmasked during Wednesday’s finale. She performed “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol, prompting Thicke to say it was her best performance. Guesses included Ashley Tisdale and Gina Rodriguez. Meanwhile, Ken Jeong was convinced that Gazelle was his friend Constance Wu.
They all turned out to be wrong, as Gazelle was unmasked as Pretty Little Liars star Janel Parrish. She shared that singing was her “first love,” but it became her “biggest fear” when she got into acting.
