Team Kelly Seriously Showed Up for ‘The Voice’ Battle Rounds

Team Kelly, so far, seems like they are the strongest out of the groups we’ve seen in the battles. Each Team Kelly performance this season has lived up to our expectations of the strong group. Could Kelly Clarkson win this season of The Voice?

It’s no secret that some of the best singers on this season of The Voice chose to be on Team Kelly. Out of the five four-chair turns of this season, three of them chose Team Kelly. But, even the members of the team that didn’t receive four-chair turns have so far given great performances in the battle rounds.

With a team so strong, I’m fully expecting the other coaches to want to steal the singers up for elimination. In the first week of the battle rounds, we already saw this occur, but I definitely don’t think this is going to stop just yet.

Who has Already Been Stolen from Team Kelly?

Fans were so excited to see Girl Named “Tom” after their coaching session with Clarkson. This trio was already great before getting coached, but seriously stepped up their game after only one session. They dropped the jaws of the coaches in their blind auditions and were able to do that again in their battle round.

In their battle round, they went head-to-head against country singer Kinsey Rose. After dropping the jaws of the audience and hearing positive comments from the coaches, Clarkson decided that Girl Named “Tom” won the battle. This left Kinsey up to be stolen, or eliminated. Both John Legend and Blake Shelton pressed their buzzers to steal Kinsey, but Clarkson hit hers to save the singer. Kinsey decided to stay true to her first choices and remained on Team Kelly.

Up next from Team Kelly was Jershika Maple and Jeremy Rosado. Both of these singers turned two chairs during their auditions, but definitely would turn four now. In their battle, they sang “Hold On” by Justin Bieber. Their voices seriously dropped the jaws of the coaches just as quick, if not quicker than Girl Named “Tom” and Kinsey.

The other coaches had only good things to say about both of these singers, but they all leaned toward Jeremy as the winner. After hearing what the other coaches said, Clarkson had to make the hard decision between these powerhouse vocalists. The coach decided that Jeremy was the winner of the battle itself.

Even though Jershika didn’t win the battle, her time at The Voice is far from over. As soon as she was up to be stolen or eliminated other coaches were all over her. They didn’t even let her have last words to her current coach! John Legend clicked his buzzer as soon as he could. Ariana Grande clicked her buzzer soon after, but Jershika ultimately chose Legend as her new coach.

Just from this little amount we’ve seen from Team Kelly, it’s obvious this coach has the upper hand. Although Clarkson hasn’t been on the show as long as Blake Shelton, she really knows what she’s doing as a coach. These singers had a shocking improvement in only one coaching session. Not only is she creating great pairs, she is really teaching them how to thrive on stage. If she keeps playing the game this well, I could see a victory in her future.
