Star Search returned on Netflix for the second week of competition on Tuesday and Wednesday night. The acts who made it through last week’s episodes went up against a new crop of competitors for the chance to stay in the competition. Who made it through, and who was eliminated?
Who Made It Through on Star Search Week 2?
Tuesday’s Star Search episode started with the Music Group category, as last week’s winning group H3RIZON went up against a new act called the Honky Tonk Chicks. First up, H3RIZON delivered a soulful performance of “Man I Need” by Olivia Dean.
Later, the Honky Tonk Chicks took the stage to perform “Hang Tight Honey” by Lainey Wilson while wearing matching outfits. Ultimately, H3RIZON won the round and got to move on to yet another week of the competition after earning a final combined score of 3.65.
Next, in the Juniors Music category, last week’s winner Eric Williams went up against a new singer named Yair Keydar. First, Eric gave a cute performance of “Candy Girl” by New Edition. After that, Yair sounded angelic on a cover of “Over the Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz. Yair ended up dethroning Eric with a combined score of 4.64, meaning he’ll move on to next week’s show.
In the Variety category, winning magician TJ Salta returned to compete against dance duo MIV. First, TJ took the stage to show off some cool card tricks. Next up, MIV performed a captivating dance with lasers. Ultimately, TJ Salta kept his crown as the Variety winner with a combined score of 3.83.
The final round of Tuesday night’s Star Search episode was in the Dance category, as last week’s winning act Movement 55 took on new challenger Rad Crew. First up, Movement 55 delivered a routine fit for Broadway. Later, Rad Crew brought their own energetic routine to the stage. When the final scores were tallied, Movement 55 remained in the competition with a total score of 3.8.

Who Else Made It Through This Week?
Star Search returned for another episode on Netflix Wednesday night, as four more returning acts went up against new challengers. First up was the Music Solo category, in which last week’s winner Bear Bailey went up against new singer Sophie Saylor.
First, Bear returned to the stage to belt out “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims. Next up was Sophie’s haunting performance of “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish. Ultimately, Sophie dethroned Bear with a total score of 4.17, meaning she’ll return next week.
Next up on Wednesday night was the Juniors Variety category, as last week’s winning magician Harry Merlin Piper took on young aerialist Kaylen Fairchild. For Harry’s performance, he did some closeup magic with the judges. Later, Kaylen delivered a gravity-defying acrobatic routine. When the final scores were tallied, Harry kept his crown with a 4.4.
In the Variety category, last week’s winning acrobats Duo Vespertilio went up against diabolo performer Chihhan Chao. First, Duo Vespertilio performed a dramatic aerial routine. Later, Chihhan Chao impressed the judges with his diabolo skills. Duo Verspertilio ended up staying in the competition with a final combined score of 3.99.
The final category of the night was Comedy, as last week’s winner JR De Guzman took on Liam Nelson. First up, JR performed a funny original song. After that, Liam took the stage to tell jokes about his seven-foot height. When the scores were tallied, JR remained in the competition with a total score of 3.48.
