Snoop Dogg Is Joining ‘The Voice’ This Season — Find Out More
Snoop Dogg is headed to The Voice Season 20! The rapper was recently announced to be the Mega Mentor for this season’s Knockout round.

Snoop Dogg Is ‘The Voice’ Mega Mentor
Past Mega Mentors on The Voice have included Taylor Swift, James Taylor, and Usher. This season, Snoop Dogg will fill that role for the Season 20 Knockouts. He’ll advise artists on all four teams.
The contestants who made it through the Battles will move on to the Knockout round, which kicks off Monday, April 19. The artists will be paired up for back-to-back performances. Those who were saved by their coaches during the Battles will participate in a Four-Way Knockout to determine who stays.
Although Snoop’s appearance on the show was announced on April Fools’ Day, the rapper made it clear that it was “no joke.” In his announcement video, he said that “it’s gonna be lit.”
Snoop Dogg already has some talent show experience under his belt, as he was a guest judge on the Netflix rap competition Rhythm + Flow, and also judged TBS’ Go-Big Show earlier this year.
What Do Fans Think Of Snoop’s New Gig?
Fans on YouTube were excited about Snoop’s upcoming appearance on The Voice. One user said the show “couldn’t get any better” after Snoop’s announcement, along with Ariana Grande’s announcement as a coach in Season 21.
It looks like Kelly will be back during the Knockouts. She’s been absent during the Battle performances, as she was feeling sick at the time of filming. Country star Kelsea Ballerini filled in for her.
