After months of “taking over the breakfast food industry” Snoop Dogg and co-owner of Snoop Loopz Master P, hit a brick wall with a major setback. An unnamed business competitor is preventing the rapper from using Snoop Loopz as the cereal brand’s name.
Snoop Dogg Remains Optimistic as his Cereal Roll-Out Gets Blocked
Fans of having the now-famous cereal brand for breakfast might have to wait for a while before they can get a taste of their favorite breakfast cereal again. Snoop and his business partner are now re-branding their popular gluten-free breakfast item.
Snoop and Master P appeared in an Instagram post defending their cereal product and explained to the viewers that they’re selling it for a better cause. While they are currently changing the product’s name, Snoop stays optimistic that the cereal brand will continue to get more popular.
“We did this for the people. We did this for the families. We’re making sure that these people who deal with the homeless to get them back on their feet have access to this.” Snoop said. “We want to make something that’s a little bit more diverse and intertwines with the world that we live in right now.”
It has been speculated that the business partners are receiving heat from Kellogg’s, which has owned the Froot Loops brand since the sixties. In the meantime, Snoop and Master P are asking the fans for their suggestions on a new name for Snoop Loopz.
Fans Suggest Hilariously Good Names For the Cereal
Near the end of the Instagram video that Snoop and Master P posted, they inquired the fans for suggestions on what to name the cereal brand. The eager fans then gave out their own bright ideas but some of them are just downright hilarious.
One fan of the rapper suggested the name “Snoopy Loopz Dogg,” which doesn’t sound all too far from the original. Other more hilarious suggestion came from two other fans of the cereal. The first actually came up with a decent name for the brand with “Snoopyooz,” but the next gave a comically hilarious suggestion of “Weedyooz,” poking fun at Snoop’s fondness of cannabis.
Snoop and Master P will have no problem with the re-branding of their cereal as more suggestions from countless fans keep coming in. After the name change, the two rappers will then continue their goal of taking over the industry of food.
