At the end of the night, the competition came down to three finalists — singer Tom Ball, ventriloquist Jamie Leahey, and comedian Axel Blake. Jamie ended up being named the runner-up, while Axel was named the Series 15 winner.
“Words can’t even explain. I am shaking. Thank you everyone for voting for me. It means the world to me,” Axel said after his named was announced. As the Britain’s Got Talent winner, he will receive the £250,000 prize and a spot in the Royal Variety Performance.
For his performance in the Final, Axel delivered a funny stand-up routine about his nosy neighbor, going to the gym, and his dislike for cycling to work. The judges gave him a standing ovation, with Cowell saying, “I really, really believe we have discovered a star.”

The Comedian Addressed Criticism of His Win
Axel’s success on Britain’s Got Talent has drawn criticism from fans since it was revealed that he has a comedy special on Amazon Prime. However, the comedian has since set the record straight by explaining that he financed the show himself.
During an appearance on the talk show Lorraine, Axel shared that Amazon picked up his stand-up show around a year after it was filmed. He made it clear that it wasn’t produced for the streaming service. He said he even had to borrow money from people to make it.
Fellow Series 15 finalist Loren Allred faced similar backlash. Since she was the voice of the song “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman fans believed she didn’t deserve a spot on the series. However, Cowell defended the singer, saying, “That’s the whole point of shows like this, that you give someone another chance.”
