It’s been several months since Simon Cowell fell off an electric bike and broke his back. He underwent surgery to put a metal rod into his back, and has since been recovering at home in Malibu.
Simon had to skip the AGT and BGT live shows this season, but it sounds like he’s ready to make his first public appearance since the accident. Read on to find out what Simon has planned.

Simon Cowell To Make First Appearance Since Accident
According to Hello magazine, Simon is on the list of celebrities who will appear virtually at the Fayre of St James’s 2020 Christmas Concert, organized by the Quintessentially Foundation.
The event takes place on December 1, with tickets costing £30. It will feature Christmas carols and holiday readings, with money benefiting The Childhood Trust and The Felix Project. Other celebrities and performers attending include James Bay and Poppy Delevingne.
Although Simon has been spotted a few times since his accident in August, including at his dentist’s office, this will be his first official appearance. Hopefully this means he’ll be well enough to return to Got Talent when the next seasons start up again.
Simon celebrated his 61st birthday with his family and friends last month. He seemed to be in good spirits as his son Eric sang “Happy Birthday” to him. He was also seen out shopping with his family.
“He showed no signs of illness or fatigue,” a witness said of Simon’s spotting. “It’s hard to believe he was on an operating table just weeks ago. It’s an incredible recovery.”
Simon is apparently ready to get back to work. “Simon was gutted at having to sit out the show this year,” a source recently revealed. “But he’s been totally focused on getting better and will definitely be back on the panel.”
It’s good to see Simon back on his feet. It’s only a matter of time before we see him back behind the judges’ table.
