Simon Cowell Stands on Table to Applaud Aidan Bryant’s Dangerous ‘AGT’ Act

The first night of the America’s Got Talent live finale is supposed to be about the acts. Honestly, it’s all about Simon Cowell’s reactions. Cowell has never stood on top of the judging table to applaud an act before. The head judge climbed onto the table to give Aidan Bryant the reaction he deserves.

Aidan’s AGT performance was captivating from start to finish. I can’t emphasize enough how incredible it is that he performs without a safety net. He is fearless and everything a potential Las Vegas act needs to be. The production behind the performance was absolutely stunning.
For the final trick, Aidan wrapped himself in the silks and did a huge drop. The camera panned to Cowell to get his reaction to this trick. Cowell proceeded to climb on top of the judging table. He stood and applauded the 16-year-old aerialist as Sofia Vergara looked on shocked. The AGT finale is so unpredictable.
Aidan stood up on the stage completely in awe. He had tears welling in his eyes. Even Terry Crews was fully blown away by Cowell’s reaction. For someone that broke his back one year ago, Cowell certainly took a risk with this reaction. He had nothing but great things to say about Aidan’s AGT act.
“Aidan, I did that because I don’t think a standing ovation is big enough,” Cowell said. “You are unbelievably talented, 16 years old. Every week you risk your life. Your creativity is off the chart. This is honestly one of the best live performances we have ever seen.”
Howie Mandel liked Aidan’s last routine better. Cowell didn’t care about Mandel’s opinion. It is clear that Aidan is Cowell’s favorite act left in the competition. He is obviously rooting for him to win. After seeing Aidan step it up week after week, I am certain he will finish in the Top 3. Hopefully, he can get enough votes to win AGT because he truly deserves it.
