Simon Cowell Predicts ‘The X Factor UK’ Winner

Simon Cowell is the king of the reality talent competition shows. He really knows how to do this. After all, he almost single-handedly launched the entire genre back in the early 2000’s with American Idol. So, when he predicts a winner, (which he doesn’t do often), you should listen. He is pretty sure he knows who is going to win this year’s X Factor UK.
It’s Dalton Harris. I mean, it’s a safe bet. Scarlett Lee is fantastic and it would be a great story if Anthony Russell won…but…Dalton. He has delivered every time. But he’s also managed to avoid the trap of falling into the “So good he’s boring” problem. Every time he steps it up a little bit and I can actually see him becoming a giant star. That voice and stage presence have stardom written all over it. Simon seems to agree. When asked who he predicts will win Simon said,
“I would say everyone’s got to beat Dalton Harris at this point. It probably will – and it should – come down to what happens on the night. They’re all got great songs so it’ll be exciting.”
Dalton is also Talent Recap’s pick for the winner this season. I’m sure Simon is right and it will be a great final show, even if we’re pretty sure we know who will win. There is more to these shows than simply which singer is going to sing. At this point in the competition, they have trimmed all the fat and all that’s left is solid talent. After months of vocal training and time spent performing in front of a crowd, these singers are ready to knock it out of the park…or, since it’s England, kick the ball out of the pitch. I’d make a cricket joke but I don’t understand that game at all. What’s a wicket? To me a wicket is the name of an Ewok played by Warwick Davis.
