The adorable Canine Stars first dazzled the judges with their Season 16 America’s Got Talent audition in June. Fans could not wait to see what this group was going to do next. Their performance tonight definitely stepped it up and had Simon Cowell happy that he was replaced by a dog.

The Canine Stars Impress All of the ‘AGT’ Judges with High-Flying Skills

Since appearing on AGT the first time, the fame has gone to the dogs heads. They only fly by private jet now. The Canine Stars were featured in a cute montage on their jet, drinking apple juice and having the time of their lives. For their act this time, they went with a Las Vegas theme. It’s very fitting since the prize for AGT is $1 million and a headlining show in Las Vegas.

The Canine Stars have gone from being rescues with sad stories to being Hollywood rockstars. The doggy doppelgängers Heidi Groom, BowWowie Mandel, Simon Howl, and SoFurry Vergara were all a part of this act yet again. They started off playing at a poker table during the routine. They were then entertained with a Las Vegas style show from their doggy comrades.

Even though there were a few minor mishaps like dropping frisbees, the routine was still entertaining. The dogs jumped what looked to be 50 feet in the air. The puppy version of Cowell was trying to get out of his seat the whole time. Something about the missteps just made the routine feel more real and down to Earth.

The Judges Think the Act Stepped it Up

The dogs jumped through ribbons to Panic! At The Disco’s “Hey Look Ma, I Made It.” The grand finale of the performance was one dog jumping super high into the arms of one of the group members. It was thrilling, fun, and full of energy.

“I believe you stepped it up and what a way to open the show,” Howie Mandel said.

Heidi Klum commented that The Canine Stars went “from dogs to divas in no time.” Even she doesn’t like to fly in private planes herself. Cowell agreed that this performance was even better than their audition. What he said next was absolutely hilarious.

“I always knew one day I would be replaced by a dog,” he said.

Here we thought Cowell would be replaced by his son Eric on AGT eventually. Who knows, maybe The Canine Stars will take over his seat at the judging table in the future.
