Dancing with Myself judge Shakira’s ex-partner Gerard Piqué might have to wear the singer’s name on his soccer jersey due to a partnership with Spotify. Piqué plays soccer for Barcelona, who recently wore Drake’s OVO owl logo on their uniforms as part of the deal.

Will Gerard Piqué Wear Shakira’s Name on His Jersey?
Barcelona reportedly wore jerseys paying tribute to Drake after he reached 50 billion streams on Spotify. Reports from Spain apparently indicate that Shakira could be a future artist featured on the jerseys.
Fans on social media have even mocked up a version of the jersey with Shakira’s name on it. The Daily Mail quotes some fans who want to see Piqué wear the shirt, with one person writing that they’ll listen to Shakira’s music every day to make it happen.
The couple was together for 12 years, and they share two sons named Milan and Sasha. They split earlier this year after reports of a cheating scandal. Piqué has reportedly been dating someone else in recent months.

The Singer Released a New Music Video
Shakira has released a new music video for her song “Monotonía” featuring Ozuna. Connections are already being made between the video (and the song itself) and her split from Piqué. She starts the clip with tears in her eyes before she’s shot through the chest.
The singer spends the video wandering around with her heart in her hand. Eventually, she stores it in a safety deposit box and walks away with the key. According to E! News, the lyrics (translated from Spanish) include the lines, “It wasn’t your fault, nor was it mine / I never said anything, but it hurt me / I knew this would happen.”
Shakira also sings, “Suddenly you were no longer the same / You left me because of your narcissism.”
The singer’s upcoming new album doesn’t have a release date yet. It will be her first studio album since 2017’s release El Dorado.
