Scotty McCreery Announces 2023 Tour With Country Music Hall of Famers

American Idol season ten winner Scotty McCreery announced that he’s doing a 2023 tour with country music Hall of Famers Brooks & Dunn. McCreery is now collaborating with the country duo right after kicking off his very own Damn Strait Tour recently.

The Reboot tour by country music duo Brooks & Dunn will be featuring a very special guest that will be performing with them on the first leg of the tour. McCreery expressed his excitement for the upcoming tour by announcing that he’ll be part of it in an Instagram post.
“Having been a huge fan of their music all my life, going out on the road with Kix and Ronnie is a dream come true for me,” McCreery said. “I can’t wait for this tour to begin!”
McCreery previously performed with Brooks & Dunn during their headlining tour in 2022, but only on select dates. The shows they performed together were “Bucket List,” shows for McCreery who looks up to the two for all his life.
“They were just the coolest guys, they put on just such a great show and sound as good as ever.” McCreery said. “It’s hit, after hit, after hit. I’m just a country fan losing it when I’m front of house watching!”
The American Idol winner also revealed that Brooks & Dunn were the inspirations behind his song, “It Matters To Her.” Tickets to the Reboot tour will go on sale on January 27 and can be purchased at their official website.
McCreery Reveals He’s Writing Songs About his Son Avery
The 29-year-old country music performer claims that plans for a new album are already being made. Furthermore, he intends to include some of the more recent elements of his personal life in the new project.
Becoming a father for the first time and witnessing his wife, Gabi McCreery, assume motherly duties are some of the inspirations he uses. Their son Avery, who the couple welcomed on October 24, 2022 is another main focus of the upcoming songs.
McCreery is renowned for using his songs to tell his own personal stories. He has previously created songs about his life, such as “This Is It,” which is taken from his critically acclaimed fourth studio album, Seasons Change. His proposal to Gabi is then described in the love song. The song was written by the American Idol alum only two weeks before the pair got engaged.
