‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Twins Sugar, Spice Fight in Chaotic Lip Sync Battle

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 twins Sugar and Spice unfortunately had to fight head-to-head after failing to impress in the Snatch Game. In the end, Sugar was left with no choice but to leave the show, making losing to her twin during the Lip Sync battle.
Sugar, Spice are Pitted Against Each Other in Lip Sync Battle
During the Friday episode of the Emmy-winning series, the TikTok-famous duo unfortunately landed in the bottom two. Apparently, Sugar’s Trisha Paytas performance and Spice’s Miley Cyrus impersonations weren’t as impressive as they needed to be. This consequently put them in the position to fight against each other so either of them could stay in the competition.
The twins did a lip sync to Pat Benatar’s “You Better Run,” which showed their sibling connection. However, this performance was “messy and chaotic” on both sides, as stated by Sugar herself.
In the end, RuPaul Charles had to decide who’ll stay, choosing Spice over her twin. That makes Sugar the recently eliminated queen of the season.
Sugar Feels Grateful Despite Early Dismissal in the Series
Amid sad split from Spice, Sugar feels no grudge over anyone. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the drag queen shared how she’s been processing the elimination so far.
“I officially have no tears left to cry. Ariana,” she said. “Come on, promo. I feel like I was in the trenches for about three days after my elimination. I was sitting in the hotel room, chilling by myself.”
According to her, she’s had the time to write and reflect after leaving the series. Ultimately, she feels “so much gratitude.” RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 continues Friday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. In the next episode, the remaining queens will have to turn home décor into haute couture. Actress Janelle Monae will also serve as guest judge.
