‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Stars Bob the Drag Queen, Kornbread Sing in New Broadway Tribute

RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Bob the Drag Queen and Kornbread both appear in a new video paying tribute to the Broadway musical A Strange Loop. The project features a medley of songs from the Tony-winning show.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Stars Appear in Broadway Tribute
The new video, produced by Michael Korte and Bryson Camper, includes several songs from A Strange Loop. The Broadway show’s music and lyrics are written by Michael R. Jackson. The show is about Usher, a Black gay man writing a musical about a Black gay man writing a musical.
A Strange Loop won the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and premiered on Broadway in April of this year, with RuPaul as a co-producer. The show went on to win Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical at the 75th Tony Awards.
Bob the Drag Queen, who won Season 8 of Drag Race, and Kornbread, who competed on Season 14, appear in the video alongside Elyn, Anania Williams, and A Strange Loop‘s Kyle Freeman. The emotional medley showcases the musical’s powerful songs.
Both Drag Race stars have a chance to shine in the video. Bob the Drag Queen is showcased on a rendition of the song “Boundaries,” while Kornbread performs the song “A Sympathetic Ear.” The medley ends with the musical’s title song.

Fans Are Loving the New Music Video
Fans shared their love for the new project on YouTube, soon after its release. One person wrote, “I’M CRYING THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!! Every single person in this is a STAR.”
One user also shouted out Bob the Drag Queen in particular, writing, “BOB THE SINGING QUEEN!!!!!!! And I’m here for all her vocal improvement!!!!” Another commenter wrote, “I did not know that I needed to hear this until I heard it. I’m blown away!”
A Strange Loop will have its final performance on Broadway on January 15, 2023.
