The world of Drag Race is the gift that keeps on giving. The queens just don’t quit and, honestly, I’m living for it. Make way for the latest series to hit the drag scene. RuPaul’s Drag Race star Manila Luzon is set to host Drag Den, the first drag competition to hit the Philippines.

Luzon made her drag debut on season three of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She came in second place, and went on to appear in two seasons of All Stars in 2012 and 2018. In her inaugural season, she proved to be one to watch.

Her unique talents and skills secured her spot in the finale. Luzon took part in some of the show’s most infamous moments, such as her carefully constructed fashion statements, becoming a member of The Heathers clique, and her lip sync battle against fellow queen, Delta Work.

Manila Luzon Announces Show Premiere on Social Media

The drag superstar energetically took to social media to announce the new show’s premiere.

“It’s time to lace up, Pilipinas! You wanted a drag cartel? We heard you, and we’re making it MAJOR!” she tweeted. “The first ever drag reality show in the Philippines is finally here, and I’m running the show!”

While Drag Den is not associated with the central RuPaul’s Drag Race franchise, it will join a number of other drag affiliated series. RuPaul Drag Race UK star Blu Hydrangea previously landed Stich, Please! on the BBC network. The UK queen will host fashion based-challenges related to iconic designs throughout pop culture.

Drag Race alums Peppermint, Crystal, and Barbada are also starring in the new OUTtv competition series Call Me Mother. Here, each of the three drag houses will battle it out for eight weeks to earn the title of “First Child of Drag.” The winner will also receive a cash prize of $50,000, not too shabby.

Drag Den’s platform details and release date have not yet been confirmed. But for now, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6 is currently streaming Thursdays on Paramount +. Be sure to catch up on all the “Ru-tastic” moments.
