Rita Ora’s “Praising You” Receives 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards Nomination

British pop star Rita Ora is celebrating after her hit dance collaboration “Praising You” secured a nomination at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards. Ora posted on Instagram this week that she and Fatboy Slim were up for Dance Song of the Year for their feel-good track.

Her Instagram post featured photos and videos of her on the music video set, a photo of her performing the song live with Fatboy Slim, and an image of her in 80s fashion. The track blends Ora’s smooth vocals together with Fatboy Slim’s signature production.
Lyrically, it describes her appreciation for a loved one who has profoundly impacted her life. Her emotive delivery immediately draws listeners into the song’s inspirational message. As she sings, “I have to praise you like I should.”
The collaboration marked a full-circle moment for Ora, who has long cited Fatboy Slim as a major influence. She was thrilled for the opportunity to finally work with the British dance legend on a fresh take of his 1998 hit “Praise You!”
“To not only get Norman’s stamp of approval but to actually collaborate with him and pay homage to such a massive song from my childhood was truly a surreal experience,” Ora said.

Ora built anticipation for her third album by releasing smash collaborations like “You Only Love Me” with Sigala and also “Follow Me” with Albanian in 2022. However, her team-up with Fatboy Slim showcased Ora in top form and positioned her for a major comeback.

“It feels good to have something to write about,” Ora said. “It just started off as a little diary and it’s turned into this love story for my fans.”
