Luke Bryan is fresh off of his ACM win for Entertainer of the Year and is already back to putting out more stunning music videos. The country crooner just released the very romantic music video for his summer anthem “Waves.”
The Romantic Message Behind Luke Bryan’s Summer Anthem ‘Waves’
“Waves” is one of the songs on the deluxe version of Bryan’s album Born Here Live Here Die Here. The video starts off with an older gentleman standing on a beach. The video continues on with a flashback to when the man was younger. While surfing, he meets a girl who saves him when he takes a fall.
The pair fall in love and enjoy their time at the beach. While their love story plays out on the screen, Bryan serenades the camera and sings along to the catchy tune. You can see some behind-the-scenes photos of the serene “Waves” video shoot here.

“‘Waves’ is a song about kids falling in love during the summer and just all the images and everything about just how beautiful that summer love is and how the emotions just keep coming in waves,” Bryan told CMT. “‘Waves’ is kind of a play on words, and I fell in love with the song the second I heard it.”
Bryan debuted “Waves” on television during an episode of Good Morning America on April 9. Accompanied by his band, the American Idol judge put on a performance that was so good it nearly transported fans to the beach.
