Peta Murgatroyd Says Jenna Johnson Wants to Return to ‘Dancing with the Stars’

Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Peta Murgatroyd has commented on the possibility that fellow pro (and her sister-in-law) Jenna Johnson will return to the show for Season 32. Johnson took last season off while she was pregnant.
Peta Murgatroyd Comments on Jenna Johnson’s DWTS Future
Johnson, who came in second place with JoJo Siwa during Season 30, took Season 31 off as she prepared to welcome her first child with her husband and fellow pro Val Chmerkovskiy. Johnson gave birth to their son Rome Valentin in January.
Murgatroyd, who is married to Val’s brother Maksim and currently pregnant herself, recently spoke to the U.S. Sun about Johnson’s future on the show. She expects that Johnson will be back in the ballroom for Season 32.
“Oh, absolutely. I have no doubt she’ll be back,” Murgatroyd said. “I think baby Rome’s nearly two months now, so I think she absolutely wants to be back and she should be back as well.”
Murgatroyd also wants to compete in the new season after she gives birth to her second child, telling the outlet, “It’s gonna be like around the eight- or nine-week mark this time [after giving birth]. So yeah, I’m totally willing.”

Murgatroyd Wants to Be Paired with a Football Player
Although Murgatroyd said she knows “literally nothing” about the show’s upcoming casting, she shared that she hopes she’ll be paired with “somebody who’s dedicated,” possibly a football player.
“I like football players because they know how to work hard. I really like that they know how to be coached. They’re very driven,” Murgatroyd told the Sun. “I also would love somebody who’s just entertaining and fun and just, you know, doesn’t take themselves too seriously and wants to be there.”
Murgatroyd is expected to give birth in June. She and husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy already have a 6-year-old son together named Shai. The couple was open about their fertility issues as they tried to conceive a second child.
