Dancing with the Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd and her husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy have announced that they’re expecting another baby together less than a year after they welcomed their second child, a son named Rio.
Peta Murgatroyd, Maksim Chmerkovskiy Expecting Another Baby
On Monday, Murgatroyd posted a video on Instagram in which she called Chmerkovskiy on FaceTime to give him the news. But rather than just tell him outright, she dropped several not-so-subtle hints that she was pregnant.
Murgatroyd told Chmerkovskiy that she had been feeling sick all day. She then took a bite out of a giant pickle before showing him that she had prepared two baby bottles with formula. Chmerkovskiy didn’t understand what she was trying to tell him until she showed him her positive pregnancy test.
Chermovskiy got emotional after he realized what was happening, telling his wife, “I’m so very happy.”
“After everything we’ve been through with miscarriages and IVF we’re beyond blessed and know we are uber lucky for this miracle to happen to us,” Murgatroyd wrote in her post. “We’re just so happy that we can finally tell you guys the good news.”

The Couple Already Has Two Kids Together
Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy tied the knot in 2017, several months after they welcomed their first son Shai, who is now 7 years old. The couple has been open about their struggles with fertility, as Murgatroyd suffered miscarriages.
The pair shared their IVF journey on social media, which resulted Murgatroyd in getting pregnant with their son Rio, who was born last June. Murgatroyd shared on Instagram that she found out she was pregnant again just four months after giving birth.
Last year, Murgatroyd competed on Dancing with the Stars Season 32 just a few months after giving birth. Her due date for this new baby is likely to be before Season 33 premieres, so it remains to be seen whether she’ll return to the ballroom.
