The Masked Singer Season 13 returned on Wednesday night, as the “Lucky Six” took the stage for their chance to move on in the competition. At the end of the night, Paparazzo was unmasked as actor Matthew Lawrence.
Who Performed in The Masked Singer Lucky Six?
The Lucky Six was made up of the final two contestants in Groups A, B, and C from earlier in the season — Coral, Paparazzo, Pearl, Boogie Woogie, Mad Scientist Monster, and Nessy. Each of them delivered a solo performance during Wednesday’s episode, with one of them being eliminated and unmasked.
The first contestant to perform was Mad Scientist Monster, singing “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” by Shawn Mendes. Guesses from the panel included country stars such as Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.
Next up was Nessy, who sang “Stargazing” by Myles Smith. They teased that they sang “arguably one of the most famous” love songs. The panel guessed that they might be Dave Matthews or Edwin McCain.
Coral also took the stage on Wednesday night to sing “Ain’t It Fun” by Paramore and tease a connection to Anonymouse, who was Demi Lovato. The panel guessed that Coral could be everyone from Rachel Zegler to Selena Gomez.
Also performing in the Lucky Six was Pearl, who sang “Conga” by Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine. The panel guessed everyone from Faith Hill to Pat Benatar. And last but not least, Boogie Woogie performed “Unsteady” by X Ambassadors, prompting guesses such as Chris Martin and Ryan Tedder.
Paparazzo Unmasked as Matthew Lawrence
During Wednesday’s show, Paparazzo took the stage to perform “Unpretty” by TLC. He teased a connection to Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel and admitted that he’s never sung before.
At the end of the night, Paparazzo was eliminated and had to unmask. But first, the panel had to guess who was under the costume. Guesses included Frankie Muniz, Jason Ritter, and Ben Savage. But only Jenny McCarthy correctly guessed that Paparazzo was actually Matthew Lawrence.
Lawrence shared that singing was a big fear for him, but the show gave him the opportunity to try it out without anyone seeing him. The actor is currently dating Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas from TLC, which made his song choice this week a big clue.
The remaining five contestants will now move on to next week’s Quarterfinals, which will be Soundtrack of My Life Night. Who are you rooting for to win it all? Let us know in the comments below.
