During Wednesday night’s new episode of The Masked SingerSeason 14, Le Who Who was unmasked as comedian Tiffany Haddish. In an interview about the show, Haddish talked about the special underwear that was made for her costume.
Tiffany Haddish Talks Masked Singer Le Who Who Costume
One of the funniest moments from Tiffany Haddish’s appearance on The Masked Singer as Le Who Who came when she turned around to show off the underwear beneath her sparkly skirt. As it turns out, Haddish requested this little addition to her costume.
“Well, it was so funny when I tried it on the first time, I was like, ‘This is so cute, but she don’t have no panties,'” Haddish told Entertainment Weekly. “And they made her some panties. And I was like, ‘These are so cute! I got to show everybody my panties. Everybody has to see how cute these panties are.'”
Haddish revealed that she used to do the same thing when she was a kid, joking, “And so cut to umpteen thousand years later, yeah, now I’m showing everybody Le Who Who’s drawers.” She added that the show made the underwear for her costume “in less than 24 hours.”
Before Tiffany Haddish was unmasked on Wednesday’s show, panelist Rita Ora correctly guessed her identity. The two are friends, and Haddish attended Ora’s wedding to Taika Waititi in 2022. Haddish joked that if Ora hadn’t guessed correctly, she would have said, “What kind of friend are you? Are we really friends? Do you really know me?”
When asked if Ora’s presence on the panel was the reason Haddish wanted to appear on The Masked Singer this season, the actress said she’s actually “been wanting to do the show from the beginning.”
“I’ve loved the show since day one,” she said. “And to be watching it all these years and see people try to guess me and it’s not me. Sometimes I guess me. I’m like, ‘Is that me? It seemed like they’re talking about me.’ And to be finally on the show and to be outed so fast was a little bit like, ‘Dang.'”
