One Direction’s Liam Payne Finally Speaks Out About Engagement To Maya Henry

Former One Direction star Liam Payne has officially confirmed his engagement to girlfriend Maya Henry. The star spoke about it in a new interview with Good Morning America.
Liam and Maya were reported to be engaged after Maya was spotted wearing an engagement ring apparently worth £3 million. Read on to find out what Liam had to say about the happy news.
Liam Payne Talks About Engagement To Maya Henry
Liam thanked the GMA hosts for their congratulations, saying, “Thank you, we’re just really happy.” He added what a big week it’s been for him, saying, “The last week I’ve had a birthday, my son has gone to school for the first time today, so it feels like a lot of firsts for me actually, which is great!”

The 27-year-old has a son named Bear with his former girlfriend Cheryl. He’s not the only One Direction star who’s become a dad. Fellow band member Louis Tomlinson also has a son, and Zayn Malik is expecting a baby with his girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
Liam and Maya, who is 20, have been dating for two years. They reportedly met at a One Direction meet-and-greet when Maya was 15 years old. Liam apparently popped the question to Maya during lockdown.
Liam Addresses Possible One Direction Reunion
With this year marking the 10-year anniversary of One Direction’s creation on The X Factor, there’s been a lot of talk of a possible reunion between the five original members.

Liam told GMA, “Yeah, it feels amazing to be doing 10 years of anything, to be honest. Especially to have the success level that we’ve had, I’m just really grateful that the fans have stuck around and each of us still have a career, which I think has been the most amazing bit out of all of it really.”
“As far as reunions go,” he added, “I don’t know too much but I’ve got wonderful, lovely birthday messages off of everyone which was really, really nice.”
The guys are obviously busy with their own careers and personal lives, but it’s nice to know they’re still staying friendly. We wonder if Niall Horan or Harry Styles will have any exciting news of their own in the near future.
