Instagram Liam Payne and Maya Henry are engaged! The 26-year-old One Direction star popped the question to his 20-year-old girlfriend with an absolutely stunning diamond ring. The proposal reportedly happened during lockdown due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and has been kept under wraps.
One Direction’s Liam Payne And Maya Henry Got Engaged During Lockdown
News of their engagement comes after the pair stepped out for an evening at a London restaurant and Maya showed off her $3 million ring. A source at the restaurant told MailOnline that “Maya was proudly showing off her engagement ring during the evening.” Maya and Liam first met at a One Direction meet and greet when she was just 15 years old. It wasn’t until August 2018 that the pair were romantically linked together. They were seen out in public together in September 2019 at London’s Heathrow Airport. Soon after, they became Instagram official.

During the release of his song “Stack It Up,” Liam posted a selfie with Maya smiling. “Sometimes I don’t recognize this happy guy… sure glad you brought him back though. This has been my most amazing release week to date!” he captioned the post. He also thanked her “for always keeping the biggest smile on my face through all the stress and making me realize how perfect my life really is.” Back in February, it was rumored that the pair had split after not being seen in public together. Sources denied those rumors as the pair were just taking a break from posting on social media at the time.

Liam first rose to fame when he was put into the group One Direction on The X Factor in 2010. He has since gained millions of fans across the world who are so excited to hear news of his engagement. Liam previously dated ‘X Factor’ judge Cheryl Cole. The pair welcomed their son Bear in 2017 and called it quits in July 2018. After hearing that the star is now engaged, #LIAMISENGAGED began trending on Twitter.
Fans marveled at how much the band members have grown over the years. Liam and Louis Tomlinson have both become fathers. Zayn Malik is also expecting a baby with model Gigi Hadid. “Liam and Maya are engaged, I’m so glad they are! They grow up too fast, really!
