One Direction Fans OUTRAGED That Their Wax Figures Are To Be Pulled From Madame Tussauds

One Direction is one of the best selling boybands of all time. We’ve all got their faces on t-shirts, posters and as our phone backgrounds. The group recently just celebrated its 10 year anniversary since they formed on The X Factor. So why are their wax figures being removed from Madame Tussauds?
Madame Tussauds Is Removing One Direction Wax Figures
The group announced their official hiatus in 2016, but the love they have gotten from their fans has never burnt out. Recently, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London decided they will be removing the wax figures of One Direction. The figures were first created seven years ago and have been a main attraction ever since with fans flocking to see Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan up close and personal. This goes especially for those who did not have a chance to see them live in concert or go to a meet and greet.

Madame Tussauds posted a statement regarding this decision to remove the wax One Direction. “The figures have been an important part of the attraction since their launch in 2013 and we know fans have loved having the chance to ‘meet’ the band” the statement reads. “With each member of the bands continuing success in their solo careers we felt this anniversary was a fitting moment for the figures to bow out and end their tenure at the attraction as a five-piece.”
Fans Are Not Happy About This Rash Decision
One Direction fans are incredibly angry about this decision to remove something that makes them so happy. The hashtag #madametussaudsisoverparty began trending on Twitter. “With that, you probably just lost thousands of customers. Now there’s no reason for me to go there. I don’t even get why you would remove them!? They are still a band, they never broke up, they are on hiatus. The worst decision you could make. #madametussaudsisoverparty” wrote one Twitter user.
“YOU CAN’T REMOVE THEM!! THIS IS THE CLOSEST WE’RE EVER GONNA HAVE OT5 TOGETHER!!!!” said another Twitter user. One Direction fans have also been circulating the customer service number to Madame Tussauds London to call to complain.
“So wrong of them to assume that we won’t say anything after they do this sh*t. #madametussaudsisoverparty One Direction lives forever cmon… you don’t have to take the wax works down like that” said another angry fan.
