Nikki Garcia and her husband Artem Chigvintsev are planning to recreate one of the routines they performed during Season 25 of Dancing with the Stars. Garcia shared some throwback photos from their first performance and talked about the reasoning behind remaking it.
Nikki Garcia, Artem Chigvintsev to Recreate ‘DWTS’ Dance
Garcia and Chigvintsev’s contemporary routine was inspired by Garcia’s experience of returning to the WWE after a neck injury. The pair performed in a wrestling ring that was set up in the ballroom, all set to “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten.
On Friday, Garcia took to Instagram to share several photos of her and Chigvintsev while they were rehearsing for the performance in 2017. They feature a cameo from Garcia’s niece Birdie when she was a baby. She also included a clip from the performance.
“We bounced off ideas how we can change some things and how I can tell my story now in that dance,” Garcia said of recreating the routine, adding that before, it was about showing that she still had “a lot of fight left in me.”
However, the lyrics that currently resonate with her are, “Take back my life song / Prove I’m alright song / My power’s turned on / Starting right now I’ll be strong.” She said she’s “excited to see Artem’s choreography to my story now.”

The Star Changed Her Name Earlier This Year
During her time in the WWE, Garcia was known as Nikki Bella, alongside her sister Brie Bella. However, earlier this year, the twins announced that they were dropping “Bella” from their names and calling themselves the Garcia Twins.
Garcia referenced this in her post about recreating the dance, calling this her “Garcia Chapter.” The decision to change their names coincided with the sisters’ contract with the WWE running out.
In the new post, Garcia teased that her recreated dance routine with Chigvintsev would be posted on YouTube. We can’t wait to finally see it. As Garcia wrote in her post, “Fight Song has and always will be my anthem.”
