Nick Cannon Says His Marriage to Mariah Carey Was ‘Like a Fairy Tale’

The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon is getting candid about his marriage to Mariah Carey, comparing it to a fairy tale and saying he’ll never find another love like he had with her. The former couple shares two kids together.
Nick Cannon Talks About Ex-Wife Mariah Carey
Cannon recently appeared on the Hot Tee Talk Show Podcast and shared how he feels about his ex-wife Mariah Carey, calling her his “fantasy love” and adding that she’s “somebody I will always love.”
“I will never have a love like I had with Mariah,” Cannon went on to say. “It was literally like a fairy tale with Mariah, so I’d rather it just be that way, and I appreciate that fantasy. Because if I tried to go back and it wasn’t the same, like damn, I messed it up.”
However, he said that if he and Carey ever had the chance to get back together and he knew that it “could be the way that it was,” Cannon said, “I’m there.” He jokingly added a reference to one of Carey’s most iconic songs, saying, “Always be my baby.”

The Couple Shares Two Kids Together
This isn’t the first time Cannon has pined after his relationship with Carey. Earlier this year, he released a song called “Alone,” which sampled Carey’s 1990 track “Love Takes Time.”
In the song, Cannon sings (ostensibly about Carey), “As much as I want you back / It’s probably better where you at / ‘Cause I’m still running the streets / I’m still all in the sheets / Having babies, models, and singers, and actresses / Saying they pregnant by me.”
Cannon and Carey got married in 2008 and finalized their divorce in 2016. In 2011, they welcomed twins together named Monroe and Moroccan. Cannon has since had children with several different women, and he’s currently expecting his eighth with Bre Tiesi.
