Miley Cyrus Inks Deal with NBC to headline Pride Concert
Fans of Cyrus will be happy to know that this is just one of three specials she has signed on for. She is also named the producer in this deal with NBCUniversal and her own production company called Hopetown Entertainment along with her mother Tish. Her relationship with NBC stems from her time as a coach on The Voice. This has now blossomed into a full-on partnership.
“I have had an incredible long-lasting relationship with NBC for years! Many memorable moments in my career have been shared and supported by NBCU!” Cyrus said in a press release. “This feels like a natural progression and I am looking forward to creating content that we love and hope everyone who watches does too! We’re starting this journey together with a Pride special on Peacock to celebrate a month we both want to highlight with this concert event!”
Cyrus’s seventh studio album Plastic Hearts did exceptionally well on the charts. It landed in the top spot on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart. It is her sixth album to earn this honor. Her collaborations with Billy Idol, Joan Jett, and Dua Lipa pretty much broke the internet.
Cyrus recently collaborated on a remix of The Kid Laroi’s “Without You.” The song debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Rock Chart and has gone viral on TikTok. The duo recently performed the song on SNL and the performance was epic. While no official date has been announced yet for the premiere of Cyrus’s Pride special, we hope she’ll feature some incredible celebrity guests.
