Miley Cyrus Takes It All Off After Being Asked To Cover Up In Rolling Stone Spread
Miley Cyrus is not letting the haters win 2020. The “Prisoner” singer posed nearly nude in her Rolling Stone cover shoot after years of people telling her to cover up. The star shared images from her photoshoot over on Instagram to show that she is more than comfortable in her own skin.
Miley Cyrus Went Topless In New Rolling Stone Spread
“THEY TOLD ME I SHOULD COVER IT SO I WENT THE OTHER WAY” she captioned one of the pictures from the photoshoot. She is wearing a black leather jacket that is being held open to expose her breasts. The Rolling Stone logo is placed on her breasts as she sticks her tongue out. The photos were taken by Brad Elterman.
She spoke in her interview about sexuality and how people have different perceptions about her music and nudity. “I remember comments saying, ‘Why the f*ck do you distract everybody with getting naked and shaking your ass when you’re a fucking talented-ass singer?'” Miley grew up loving show business but wondered if people remembered her music or just the fact that she was nude on camera for songs like “Wrecking Ball.”
“I do believe there’s power in sexuality” she continued. “When you think of ‘formulaic pop stars,’ you think of pop stars naked in a bodysuit. And that’s not really what pop culture is. That’s not what pop is. Pop stars . . . it’s like superheroes.”
Miley also went topless on the cover rocking some flashy rings and jewelry. “AT LEAST I GIVE THE PAPERS SOMETHING THEY CAN WRITE ABOUT” she captioned the post on Instagram.
In another photo, Miley once again went topless and only wore a pair of stockings and black underwear. She also wore a pair of ski-high silver boots with glittered platforms. “SOMETIMES I NEED YOUR LOVIN. SOMETIMES I STAB YOU IN THE BACK” she captioned the photo.
Miley Opened Up About Her 2008 Leaked Photo Scandal
In 2008, a nude photo scandal rocked the Disney star and her family’s lives. “My dad ignored it because it’s just like any teenage girl and their dad’s like, ‘Let’s please not have this conversation,'” the former ‘Voice’ coach told Rolling Stone. “My mom, I think it made her really angry. I think even she felt it could be distracting from what I was doing.”
“She knew the voice and talents that I could showcase,” she continued. “She was like, ‘What the f*ck? You have the biggest song. Can you just make it about the song? Why do you have to make it about being a stripper?'” This is a reference to a Teen Choice Awards performance in which many thought was a little too risque after Miley danced on a pole. Miley has posed topless for Rolling Stone once before in 2013 and has not shied away from being her true self since.
Miley’s latest album Plastic Hearts is currently the No.1 rock record in the country. “My mind is blown and my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude” she wrote on Instagram.
