Met Gala 2019: Katy Perry Rocks Hamburger Ensemble, But J.Lo Is Not Here For it

How do you earn the title for best dressed? Take a page out of Katy Perry’s Met Gala book.
Vogue’s Met Gala Ball went down last night in New York City, and the stars came to S-L-A-Y! American Idol judge Katy Perry set the bar for the Mets “camp” theme.
Let me set the scene for you. Perry hit the pink carpet wearing a 40 pound chandelier…that actually lit up. Katy you’re a firework!
At the event Perry told reporters, “I’m retiring the word lit tonight.” Say it ain’t so Katy, you are the definition of LIT.
That doesn’t mean Katy wasn’t in on the fun as she burst into song with Sia’s Chandelier.
Moschino designer Jeremy Scott is the mastermind behind the pop-stars glowing ensemble. Speaking of one of his most complicated creations to date Scott told Vogue, “There is a built in corset consisting of 18 steel bones and two hidden batter packs to illuminate the lights.”
In addition to her Lumiere ensemble, Katy had another trick up her sleeve.
Leaving J.Lo, as well as millions of viewers confused, Katy hit the scene dressed as an actual snack…a hamburger. Perry has always had a flare for dramatics especially when it comes to fashion so we can’t say we’re entirely surprised.
The World of Dance Judge was completely unbothered at the site of Perry going from chandelier to slider. J.Lo sashayed by Perry with a cute giggle and not a care in the world.
We can’t forget about Jenny from the blocks ensemble…girl is hot, hot, HOT! J. Lo and her beau Alex Rodriguez took to the carpet, making us all wish we’d snagged an invite to this star studded event!
