Who is the Pufferfish? ‘The Masked Singer’ Prediction + Clues Decoded!

The Masked Singer season six is off to an epic start! The talent level is higher than ever and the costumes are wilder than ever. Pufferfish is no exception! With her Pufferfish face and form-fitting, fin-adorned outfit, she is definitely serving some looks.
So which celebrity is under the Pufferfish mask? Let’s get into the clues and make our prediction for her celebrity identity.

Clues on The Masked Singer Season 6
The first set of clues on The Masked Singer season premiere gave us a lot of hints about who the Pufferfish is. Pufferfish opened by saying she knows a thing or two about defending herself. She is beamed up into a spaceship with a disco ball in it. For most of her life, Pufferfish wanted to blend in, but she “just couldn’t.”
She mentions she was always the weird kid in science class who messed up all the experiments, as we see two flasks on a weighing scale and a volcano erupting out the window.
Don’t get her started on games! Someone holds up a boomerang, leading the judges to mention Australia. Her voice was always different, “but not necessarily in a good way.” She plugs in an electric guitar with “Guitarra” written on it. Pufferfish claims she’s been ridiculed a lot, so she’s had to learn to “stand up for herself.”
Popular Guesses for The Masked Singer Pufferfish
Scherzinger says she got a “stand-up vibe” so she thought it might be Maya Rudolph or Paula Abdul. Jeong played off that and guessed Issa Rae. Thicke thought of Jessica Alba, since she often dances with her kids on TikTok.
Online, most people did not seem to agree with the judges’ guesses. Popular predictions include Kylie Minogue, Shakira, Toni Braxton, Tamar Braxton, and Iggy Azalea.
Who is The Pufferfish on The Masked Singer?
This is one of the hardest ones to solve from Group A! The voice sounds similar to a few different and the clues were pretty vague. But if we had to put our money on someone, we would predict that the Pufferfish is…
Toni or Tamar Braxton!
Again, with limited clues it’s harder to track down exactly who Pufferfish is, but we’re confident it’s one of the sisters. Here’s how the clues back up our claim!
Toni and Tamar Braxton have both had to put up with their fair share of criticism. And being part of a reality show, their family’s drama has been in the spotlight before! The disco ball could be a nod to the ’60s/’70s when they were both born, or a reference to Mirrorball trophy on Dancing With The Stars, which they have both been contestants on. Toni was on season seven and Tamar was on season 21.
As far as clues that point to one sister or another, the scales definitely seem to be referring to Toni Braxton being a Libra. Toni has also done a tour in Australia, which would explain the boomerang, and the “guitarra” written on the guitar could be a nod to her song “Spanish Guitar.” But on the other hand, Tamar Braxton has done many reality shows like this in the past and she has a song with Robin Thicke so there’s a connection there. (And we know The Masked Singer loves to pull tricks like that!)
