The Voice season 23 was one of the most memorable seasons of the series. Aside from the fact that it was Blake Shelton’s final season as coach, fans have also witnessed Kelly Clarkson’s return. Not only that, two brand new coaches were introduced,Chance The Rapper and Niall Horan.

1. Coaches Show Off Their Gifts
Every coach’s gift for an artist is special for it officially signals that they belong to a respective team. Team Kelly had their jackets; Team Chance had matching caps; and Team Niall had fantastic sweatshirts. Team Blake, on the other hand, received “lousy” shirts as their welcome gift.
2. Blake Blocks Kelly to Get Neil Salsich
During Neil Salsich’s blind audition, Shelton saw the opportunity to use his Block button against Clarkson. In his usual lying jokes, the veteran coach denied Clarkson’s accusations amid the obvious truth. Fortunately, he was able to secure Salsich on his team with the strategic move.
3. Kelly Clarkson’s Block Backfired
In an attempt to convince Laura Littleton to join her team, Clarkson pressed her Block button against Blake. Apparently, the “Since U Been Gone” singer blocked the wrong coach. Littleton chose Horan, breaking Clarkson’s heart.
4. The Oddest Couple: New Roommate
Proving the Shelton-Horan chemistry, The Voice produced a skit starring the two. Their funny acting kicked off with John Legend leaving Shelton for being a messy roommate. Horan then came to take Legend’s spot, witnessing Shelton’s chaotic roommate energy.
5. GOATs Celebrate Blake Shelton
To pay tribute to Shelton in his final season, The Voice asked actual GOATs (Greatest of All Time) to send him a message. As The Voice’s GOAT himself, Shelton surely deserves this sweet gesture from the show.
6. Niall Imitates Blake’s Outfits
In a funny footage shot during the Blind Auditions, Horan can be seen copying Shelton’s fashion choices. This hilarious move has drawn laughs from the audiences and their fellow coaches. Such scene as well, has convinced fans that Shelton and Horan need to have a sitcom together.
7. Jimmy Fallon Pranks Coaches
In one episode, tv personality Jimmy Fallon spent some time in the set of The Voice to prank the coaches. Singing Michael McDonald’s “I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near),” the That’s My Jam host took his shot in the Blind Auditions.
8. Niall and Chance’s Funny Reactions to the Red Chair
As new coaches, it was totally understandable that Horan and Chance didn’t know to use the chair. In a behind-the-scenes video, both coaches couldn’t help but display cute reactions as they learn how the chair works.
