During Blind Auditions in The Voice, coaches’ gifts signify that an artist is officially part of a respective team. Season 23 of the reality singing competition has begun which means another set of distinct gifts have been introduced.
With two new coaches and two veterans sitting in the red chairs, we do expect that they’ve gotten creative with their choices this time. Let’s rank them from worst to best.
4. Blake Shelton’s T-Shirt
It’s no secret that Blake Shelton is retiring this year, so it’s only right to expect a unique gift from his team. Yet, even during his last season, the country superstar could only think of the most hilarious way to welcome his artists. For season 23, Shelton offers the members of his team with a blue t-shirt that reads something that the coach himself would say.
“I’m on Blake’s LAST team…” on the front, and “… and all I got was this lousy t-shirt,” at the back.
This, for sure, is iconic. But the text on the shirt perfectly described what might be the artists’ reaction upon seeing the gift.
3. Kelly Clarkson’s Jacket
It’s definitely not the first time that Kelly Clarkson is handing jackets to members of her team in The Voice. Be that as it may, this gift is a classic that never gets old. This season, Clarkson is offering a red shiny jacket, slapped with a text that says “SEASON 23.”
Such jacket symbolizes that an artist is in great hands during the competition, to be managed by one of the G.O.A.T. Simple yet powerful-looking, Clarkson’s team gift speaks loudly that their game faces are so ready for an intense vocal fight.
2. Chance The Rapper’s Cap
As one of the newest coaches in The Voice, it is Chance The Rapper’s first time giving team gifts. For this season, he seems to be extending his personality to his team, lending them his iconic “3” hats.
Throughout the years, his fans have seen Chance wear a number of variations of this baseball cap. Thus, it’s cool to see his artists wearing the same. Apart from that, the baseball hat is actually a good statement piece.
1. Niall Horan’s Hoodie
Also a neophyte coach in the block, Niall Horan has perhaps thought of the best gift for his team’s artists. For his first season in The Voice, the singer is giving gray hoodies to his members. In the left part of the body of the hoodie, there’s a logo-like design that says “TEAM NIALL THE VOICE.”
This alone, undeniably, is a fashionable piece of clothing. Plus, who wouldn’t want a hoodie from a former One Direction band member? Only haters would not admit.
