‘LEGO Masters’ Heads to New Zealand to Find New Greatest Builder

Reading Time: 2 minutes
The TVNZ Network is looking for kiwi LEGO Masters for a New Zealand version of the hit series. With more than 2.5 million pieces of LEGO, I’m sure there’s plenty to go around. The LEGO building reality show has become a massive hit all over the globe. Now, this once in a lifetime opportunity will be accessible to builders down under.
Lego Masters Hits New Zealand
The widely popular LEGO Masters will soon hit New Zealand. The reality TV series will be heading to Aotearoa, New Zealand in 2022. Builders will have the chance to construct their masterpieces under the supervision of Robin Sather. The series’ judge and Brickmaster will be keeping an eye out on the contestants to see who will take home the crown.
Based out of Canada, Sather is the first ever certified LEGO professional. He is also one of just 21 in the entire world with the title. His passion for the iconic building blocks formed, of course, when he was a child. He never grew out of his passion, however, only making his skills and talent grow stronger. One of his most impressive creations comes in the form of the Egyptian Sphinx. He is now on the hunt for the most impressive LEGO builders in New Zealand.
“I know that there are a lot of amazing LEGO fans in New Zealand, so I’m excited to have the opportunity to showcase your amazing Kiwi Lego builders! We’re going have a lot of fun together!” he said in an interview.
The show’s format features teams of two competing in a series of challenges implemented to test their design skills and imagination. The closely related Australian version of the show, hosted by Brickman Ryan McNaught became insanely popular with the New Zealand audience. So much so, that Auckland’s Te Papa museum hosted McNaught’s “Epic LEGO Creations” exhibition earlier this year.
The iconic LEGO brand has been a staple in the homes of people across the globe for generations. The activity inspires creativity, ambition, and family fun; all things the New Zealand audience is looking forward to. Applications for the show are open now for builders ages 16 years and older. LEGO Masters NZ will premiere on the TVNZ Network and be available for On Demand in 2022.
