This season’s The Voice Battle Advisor Kristin Chenoweth recently got engaged, and she shared on The Late Late Show this week that it’s actually her third time saying yes to a proposal. This time, she’s confident she’ll make it down the aisle.
Chenoweth also recently shared that she and bestie Ariana Grande used to go on double dates together. Grande herself is now married and Chenoweth is on her way to the same.
Kristin Chenoweth Talks Being Engaged for the Third Time
In October, Chenoweth became engaged to her boyfriend Josh Bryant, who’s the guitarist for the country band Backroad Anthem. At 39, Bryant is fourteen years younger than 53-year-old Chenoweth. As Chenoweth said on The Late Late Show, “Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.”
“It’s also my third time. Not to be married, but to say yes,” Chenoweth explained. “So I’m just gonna focus on him. My dad says he’s gonna push me down the aisle. But I’m just gonna focus on him, and I’m gonna get there.”
In 2019, Chenoweth told Kelly Clarkson that marriage wasn’t a priority for her. She said where she comes from in Oklahoma, there’s an expectation for women to get married and have kids. “It hasn’t been what’s defined me, or driven me,” Chenoweth explained, adding that she used to feel shame because of this.

Chenoweth Used to Double Date with Ariana Grande
Chenoweth returned to The Kelly Clarkson show this week to talk to guest host Jay Leno about her friend Ariana Grande. She shared that they met when Grande was 10 years old, and the pair used to go on double dates together with their respective partners.
“Not as a couple — which there’s nothing wrong with that — but no,” Chenoweth clarified, also adding that it wasn’t when Grande was 10. “We like bowling. We like truffle pizza from Craig’s here in L.A.”
Unfortunately, the pandemic made it harder for them to get together, but Chenoweth said last year that she was determined to start the double dates up again as soon as possible. Grande married her now-husband Dalton Gomez earlier this year, and now Chenoweth will soon be walking down the aisle with her own fiancé.
