Ten years ago Susan Boyle rocked the Got Talent world with her amazing pipes. Since then Boyle continues to climb the musical charts, breaking down barriers about success after the show. The original Britain's Got Talent contestant says Simon Cowell is "the best boss in the world" and heres why. Its been almost 10 years since singer Susan Boyle stole the hearts of many and became second runner up on Britains Got Talent. Audiences were glued to their television screens as Boyle gave her own personal rendition of "I Dreamed A Dream". Boyle is back in action to take the ultimate title as Champion of the America's Got Talent franchise. Boyle's biggest cheerleader...is none other than Simon Cowell. Thats right the music mogul has been a huge support system for Boyle. Susan revealed to Insider that, "Simon is the biggest inspiration in my career. He's been my boss for almost 10 years, and I strive to make him proud. He inspires me to continue and strive for perfection." We've all seen the snarky, sarcastic side of Cowell, but what Boyle really wants people to know is that Cowell isn't that harsh...all of the time. Sure, Simon can be brutally honest but he also signs singing hopefuls to multi-million dollar deals, making all of their dreams come true. Boyle was no different and has sold over 25 million records with Cowell's popular label, Syco. Similarly to Susan, Simon has handcrafted the careers of artists like Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood, and girl group Fifth Harmony. However, it hasn't always been rainbows and butterflies for the label. The X Factor winners Little Mix signed with Syco shortly after their victory. Flash forward to 2018 and its Splitsville for the label and the group. Unfortunately Syco and Little Mix weren't on the same page about the groups musical direction. A spokes representative for Cowell said, "Syco Music will no longer work with Modest Management and therefore any artists signed to that management company." Unfortunately Little Mix is signed to Modest management. Whether the girls wanted to stay with the label or not, it appears it just wasn't in the cards. The source finally said, "We do, of course, wish all artists affected by this decision every future success." Little Mix made their move to RCA and released their latest album LM5 on November 16. This seems to be a theme for Syco considering X Factor competitors Elle Henderson, Louisa Johnson, and Cher Lloyd have all parted ways with the label. Is this just an X Factor thing? We all know how talented each of these singers are...so what gives Syco? I'm completely on the fence on if the label is ultimately responsible for artist success. It's definitely the labels job to guide the talent, but can they really control the numbers? It's hard to say what determines how successful an artist will be, but as long as Syco gives the artist the tools...then they're doing their part, right? Apparently Cowell and Syco have been great for some, and not so great for others. What do you guys think makes or breaks a competition show winners career?
