Kelly Clarkson put her own spin on the deeply vulnerable Justin Bieber song. With the accompaniment of her music director Jason Halbert on piano, Clarkson’s version has an even slower tempo adding to the somberness. Her vocals lend the song deeper emotion as she showcases her talent that we’ve all come to love. It’s most felt as she closes out the song, belting out the title word “lonely.”

Kelly Covers Them All

The moving Justin Bieber cover is just another addition to her talk show’s popular segment, “Kellyoke.” On the segment, the original American Idol covers a myriad of hits from nearly any genre.
